Dr. Phillips is native to Schuylkill County, attending Pottsville High School.
After completion of his medical training at Georgetown University School of Medicine he received specialized training in arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, and shoulder reconstruction at the renowned Steadman-Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas under the direction of Dr. Richard Hawkins.
He is currently a master instructor of hip arthroscopy for AANA, where he assists in teaching other surgeons the techniques of arthroscopic surgery. He has authored numerous book chapters on shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff repairs, and hip arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Phillips is also a reviewer for “The Journal of Arthroscopy” which is one of the leading and most highly respected orthopedic sports medicine journals published.
